What you should not write in the resume

How to prove to the employer that you are the ideal candidate for the position. You can create a unique resume in the form of an infographic, you can simply structure it well or concentrate on one of the most important achievement. But, perhaps, you should not try to create an ideal resume, but just try to avoid the typical mistakes that personnel officers do not like.

Work.ua publishes a ranking of the most annoying mistakes in a resume based on a recent survey in which 500 CIS hiring professionals took part. Here are some things to avoid when writing a resume.
Grammar errors and inaccuracies

Despite the fact that headhunters evaluate the content rather than the resume form, 27% of them are annoyed by grammar and spelling errors, as well as typos by its compiler. They testify not only to a low educational level, but also to the carelessness of the applicant: if he could not re-read his resume, can he be trusted with serious work?

In addition, inaccurate formatting, the lack of a structure or template in the resume of applicants annoys 6% of personnel officers.
Lack of chronology

The inaccurate chronology of a work biography or its complete absence makes a negative impression on 12% of headhunters. Of course, they cannot determine from the resume how honest the candidate is in describing his achievements and merits, but the confusion in the dates and too general description of work experience suggest that the career of the applicant was not very successful.

Lack of information

“Working with incoming documents and mail, sending faxes ...” - such a resume, similar to a rewritten job description, annoys 15% of the surveyed personnel officers. Instead of a boring enumeration of your duties, it is better to recall your accomplishments and briefly talk about them in a resume.

At the same time, do not forget to indicate the maximum number of ways to contact you. Not everyone remembers this: inaccurate and incomplete contact information, as well as its lack, annoys 18% of recruiters.
Extra details

Describing your achievements, do not get too carried away. Stretched and overly detailed resumes are not liked by 14% of headhunters. So, making up a story about yourself, you can omit information about participation in school competitions (especially if you are already over 25), irrelevant summer internships, or numerous hobbies. This can then be told at an interview, if asked.
Obscure goals

The vague wording in the “Target” paragraph annoys 5% of personnel officers. Perhaps you should not write about this either, if you are not sure that she will impress the employer.

In addition, 2% of headhunters annoy unsuitable photos in the resume, their absence and the frequent change of job of the candidate.
